Seeing all of these statuses about the first amendment and how “all faggots should move out of North Carolina” is really pissing me off. I’m not gay and I’m not one of those people that goes around protesting about everything that I believe is wrong. I’m usually one of those that sits back, biting their tongue. Honestly, I dont even completely understand homosexuality so why should it even bother me so much? We are all humans and I believe saying anything hurtful like this is wrong. I dont know if your parents ever taught you this, but if you don’t have anything nice to say, dont say anything at all. They aren’t hurting you, so why are you hurting them? These aren’t women’s rights, African-American’s right, or homosexual’s rights. These are HUMAN RIGHTS. We are lucky to be living in America, the land of the free. We should be celebrating together. If you’re too busy judging someone, you don’t have time to love them. We should be proud of ourselves. Personally, I don’t think I can say I am very proud of the way we’ve been acting lately. What would you do if one of your bestfriends came out to you one day? Would you really lose a friend over that? What if it was one of your parents or a sibling? Your own flesh and blood. If you would seriously mess up a relationship you have with someone just because of the way they feel, you should really do some reevauating. You are doing pretty much the same thing the Germans did to the Jews and the whites did to the blacks. No, like I said, I dont completely understand homosexuality because I’m not homosexual. What I do understand is that these are human beings. We are all human beings. I’m a Republican and you may be a Democrat. That doesn’t mean I’m going to tell you to move out of the country because you don’t have the same opinion as I do. I hate tomatoes, but you may love them. So what? My name is Taylor. My uncle is gay, my boyfriend is black, and my step-mother & step-brother are Russain. So fucking what? Get over the fact that not everyone is alike and we all don’t feel the same way. We all have our own beliefs and opinions. That’s what makes us Americans. That’s what makes us beautiful.
